WE'RE CRAZY ABOUT THE CLASSICS

Often affectionately called “Northside’s favorite cult”, the NCP Classics Club has been a source of nerdy pride for years. Our Certamen teams travel the state and the country, participating in and winning tournaments at all levels.

At the Illinois Junior Classical League (ILJCL) convention in February, our members participate in creative and graphic arts contests, tests, certamen, and colloquia. At the national convention, we are often the largest school in the Illinois delegation and have three members so far who have won a national Certamen championship.

We are proud to have two members on the state board this year: Bella Gainey, President, and Chloe Lawson,  Parliamentarian. At home we take part in many service projects and fundraisers, host a dance, and are an important part of student life at Northside.
